| Top security official escapes unhurt in Zabul suicide attack |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] A top security official escaped unhurt in a suicide kaboom in southern Zabul province of Afghanistan, the local official said. The incident took place at around 1 pm local time after a jacket wallah detonated his explosives near the vehicles convoy of Shahjoi district police chief. The security and government officials are saying that the suicide bomber was looking to target the police chief Gen. Abdul Aziz Tokhi. The officials further added that Gen. Tokhi escaped unhurt in the attack but two of his bodyguards were maimed. According to the officials, the suicide bomber was riding a bicycle and detonated his explosives after getting close to the convoy of the vehicles. |
