| North Carolina city bans any training with Israel police or IDF |

| [Jpost] Durham, North Carolina, has become the first city in the United States to ban training and exchanges between the city’s police department and the Israeli military. Durham City Council unanimously voted 6-0 to adopt the policy that resulted from a petition by a coalition of activist groups called Demilitarize! From Durham2Palestine which includes Jewish Voice for Peace. The petition to ban any partnership the police might have with the IDF or Israeli police garnered close to 1,400 signatures. |

| #9 Did a bit of digging: Jewish Voice For Peace From Wikipedia: The Anti-Defamation League criticized JVP for what it described as "anti-Israel radicalism" and "questionable tactics" to promote its agenda, describing a 2017 video campaign as "veering dangerously close to repeating anti-Semitic slurs". (per the ADL) While JVP's activists try to portray themselves as Jewish critics of Israel, their ideology is nothing but a complete rejection of Israel. In May 2008, for example, members of JVP protested many of the celebrations of Israel's 60th anniversary that took place around the country, essentially illustrating that they oppose Israel's very existence. They are HQ in the well known center of Jewish Culture, Oakland CA. /sarc Executive Director is "Rebecca Vilkomerson", apparently a descendant of Viking Jews. Noam Chomsky, the very definition of a self-loathing Jew, is on the board. It backs the BDS movement, opposes AIPAC, promotes youth groups that heckled Netanyahu, , opposes West Bank settlements. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) identified JVP as one of the top 10 anti-Israel groups in the United States. The NGO Monitor: "the organization supports or has partnered with groups such as Sabeel, Electronic Intifada, Al-Awda, International ANSWER Coalition, the International Solidarity Movement and Students for Justice in Palestine, all of which label Israel a racist apartheid state, support BDS and, in some cases, support violence against Israelis" Tides Foundation (Media Matter, People for the "American" Way) is a large contributor - which got 11 million in funding form... George Soros. I knew that snake was in the woodpile somewhere. |

| #8 Durham occupied by wanna-be IvyLeague Dook and the Dookies it attracts. Pile onto that the old Dem Machine vote-fraud, and you have a leftard haven. Raleigh is infested by Kalphornians that come there for the Tech started by Red Hat Linux and other IT companies. That bleeds over into Durham. So no surprise it full of bozos like this. They do not occur much outside the city limits and suburbs. Jewish Voice For Peace sounds like a Soros front group. They are about as much concerned with Jewish and Peace as much as Goebbels- primary means of peace is the peace of the grave. |

| #1 ...Do not be fooled. Raliegh/Durham and Charlotte are the big cities, and they skew perceptions of NC way left - when it is in fact one of the reddest of the red states. You leave the boundaries of those two cities, and it's like being in a different world. Mike |
