| Russian choppers pave the way for new Syrian Army advance in northeast Homs |

In addition to aiding the Syrian Army near al-Sukhnah, the Russian Aerospace Forces launched several strikes on the Islamic State’s positions in the southeastern countryside of Homs. The Russian attack in southeast Homs helped the Syrian Army and their allies from the National Defense Forces (NDF) to forestall the Islamic State advance near the strategic 16th Air Defense Regiment. |
