an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia...has claimed has claimed it killed a senior Somali Intelligence officer in the outskirts of Mogadishu on Saturday night.
The officer identified as Colonel Mustaf Beer Dilacshe was assassinated in an attack occurred between Elasha Biyaha and Lafole areas located near the Somali capital.
Al-Shabaab said in a statement posted on its affiliated websites that the colonel and his bodyguard were killed during an ambush on his vehicle by armed myrmidons.
The slain official was the commander of Intelligence forces operating in Elasha Biya, according to the Al-Shabaab statement.
Somali Federal government is yet to comment on the murder of the officer which comes amid routine operations by NISA and Police forces in Mogadishu and its surrounding areas.
