| May your day be blessed and full of family and love President Trump released a video address Friday in recognition of the holidays of Easter and Passover, saying that Americans "praise the Heavenly Father for the blessings of freedom and the gift of eternal life." "During the sacred holiday of Passover, Jewish families around the world give thanks to God for liberating the Jewish people from bondage in Egypt and delivering them to the promised land of Israel," Trump said. The 2018 week of Passover begins Friday, and Easter is Sunday. "For Christians, we remember the suffering and death of God's only son," Trump said, "and his glorious resurrection on the third day." "On Easter Sunday, we proclaim with joy: 'Christ is risen!' " he added. "Both of these sacred celebrations remind us that God redeems the world." |

| #12 You are kindness itself, Ulaigum Ebbineng7056, but the first time Mr. Wife and I hung out he made me Chinese stir fry... and he spent eleven years developing new and improved laundry detergents for markets around the world. I’m looking forward to him cutting up a couple of pounds of chuck so I can make goulash — it’s been a while since I’ve had enough energy. And I’m very glad he’s taken over ironing and grocery shopping, as those used to be his responsibilities back when we both were in paid employment. |

| #11 TW. Mr Wife's first simple cooking recipe (guaranteed to make him feel proud as it makes really fluffy rice.) Really Fluffy Rice 2 cups of water in a small pot with 1 tablespoon butter and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Bring to boil. Add the rice to the water, 1 cup, lower the heat and put the lid on the pot. Let simmer for 20 minutes (do not take the lid off or the rice will not get fluffy). (I add a couple of small bullion cubes for chicken or beef flavored rice.) Will supply instructions on how to do the laundry later (poor guy ;-)). |

I’ve been a bit distracted, what with Mr. Wife retiring at the end of the day this past Friday — I only noticed that it was almost Passover on Thursday, so I gave up on having a Seder this year. God will understand, I’m sure. Cute, Procopius2k. It’s unusual for the holidays to be quite so close together, given how the Jewish lunar calendar wanders — that extra month every eleven years or so makes things interesting. But that makes this year extra nice for those of us with friends’n’relations in both camps. ;-) |
