| Syrian authorities crackdown on security personnel looting East Ghouta towns |

| [ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian government has begun a campaign to arrest security personnel caught looting or selling stolen goods from the East Ghouta region, a military source told al-Masdar tonight. According to the source, a large police force has entered the East Ghouta in order to ensure no more looting take place. The source added that the primary culprits behind the looting were members of the pro-government National Defense Forces (NDF). The National Defense Forces have been accuse looting captured areas on several occasions, prompting the government to crackdown on their personnel. |
