Huffington Post editor wants to publish fewer ‘white authors'

[Wash Times] White writers need not send their submissions to the Huffington Post.

In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Chloe Angyal, the popular site’s deputy opinion editor, said one of her goals this month was to ensure less than 50 percent of content was published by "white authors."

Ms. Angyal said she keeps close tabs on the races and genders of contributors to the opinion page and would like to publish more transgender and Hispanic authors.

I check our numbers at the end of every week, because it’s easy to lose track or imagine you’re doing better than you really are, and the numbers don’t lie.

#9  I suspect they feel having more black perspective will provide their white/lefty/privileged readers to feel as if they understand the plight of the African American community. What they'll actually get is a daily face full of anti-white bile that will turn even masochists away in time.

#8  How does the Huffington Post get its income? Ads? 12-13% of the population is African-American. Having 50% of its writers being African-American is not a good business plan unless you are trying to cater to a niche.
