In a meeting with the commanders of the Corps commanders, President Ghani said the Afghan national defense and security forces are a capable and professional force which belongs to the whole nation.
He said the bravery and devotion of the Afghan forces have resulted into the survival of the nation and sustainment of the trust of the Afghan nation and the international community.
President also emphasized on the need for the necessary reforms in the security and defense sectors and urged the Corps commanders to implement the lessons learned from Khalid operations in the upcoming Nusrat operations.
He also added that security of the key infrastructure projects like TAPI gas pipeline should be ensured in a bid to ensure the development of the country and the nation.
President Ghani also insisted on the important role of the Afghan forces in the upcoming elections and said the security of the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections should be part of the plans of the security and defense forces.
