Diyala (Iraqinews.com) ‐ Four people, including a well-placed municipal official, were killed and maimed Monday in two kabooms in Iraq’s Diyala province, security sources were quoted as saying.Speaking to Alghad Press news website, a source said, "Three bombs planted by unknown men went off outside a house of a member of al-Abbara city council in northeastern Baqubah, leaving the municipal official and his uncle maimed."
The two were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and security forces opened a probe into the kaboom.
In another incident, a source said an explosive charge went
kaboom!in al-Azim area in northern Diyala, leaving a man killed and his wife injured.
