| #4 ...When my dad worked at NASA, he was part of the ISS design team, and back in the day when it was still Station Alpha and later Space Station Freedom, there was supposed to be a limited commercial presence aboard from the beginning. Seeing as how it's only going to get more expensive to run the ISS - and it only has another six years of real operations life left - this is not a bad idea, especially under a Trump administration, and it's very unlikely we'll ever look up and see a giant "DRINK COKE" logo overhead. But at this point, corporations aren't likely to invest all that much, because after Starman they know they can do it on their own, and not have to worry about a new administration changing the rules on them. | #3 Not clear what the Japanese or the EU does. With China flexing its muscles, it's pretty clear what Japan will do. Re EU. Over the years I formed an explanation that, IMO, best fits EU behavior: they know they're dying and they're trying to take the rest of the World with them. |

| #1 Okay... in that situation the Russians take their modules and walk. Not clear what the Japanese or the EU does. Will enough key pieces be left for a viable station or are companies better off going to Bigelow and get their own structure to be launched by Blue Origin or SpaceX's BFR? |
