| #1 They really don't get that they're fake news. In the movie that they're watching, this is the valiant free press standing up to a fascist dictator. The fact that they might be the bad guys is unheard-of. If the law enforcement agencies massively violated federal law and the media is trying to help them cover it up, that's what happens in that part of the movie! How else do you get the happy ending where democracy is thwarted and Trump is removed? |
