-Lurid Crime Tales-
The Clock Ticks for the Clinton Foundation
2018-01-07
[American Thinker] Whether it is merely the FBI trying to restore its shattered credibility or justice finally being done, the news that the pay-to-play activities of the Clinton Foundation are going to get renewed and serious attention is welcome. The Clintons have made a career of ignoring, skirting, and breaking the law. Up to this point, crime has paid off handsomely for the Clintons, but now they may find themselves caught between Little Rock and a hard place:
The Justice Department has launched a new inquiry into whether the Clinton Foundation engaged in any pay-to-play politics or other illegal activities while Hillary Clinton served as secretary of [s]tate, law enforcement officials and a witness tell[] The Hill.

FBI agents from Little Rock, Ark., where the foundation was started, have taken the lead in the investigation and have interviewed at least one witness in the last month, and law enforcement officials said additional activities are expected in the coming weeks.

The officials, who spoke only on condition of anonymity, said the probe is examining whether the Clintons promised or performed any policy favors in return for largesse to their charitable efforts or whether donors made commitments of donations in hopes of securing government outcomes.

This should be a short investigation ‐ Hillary Clinton is a ham sandwich waiting to be indicted. All that should be necessary is to empanel a grand jury and read them the known facts. The Clinton Foundation was hardly charitable except to its donors.

Any investigation should start with Haiti, where the Clinton Foundation plundered the disaster-ridden island for fun and profit. As the Washington Free Beacon reported:

#11  Ongoing Conspiracy to hide malfeasance? Tax Fraud? Because as soon as you start bribing people it has to be clandestine, yes?

#10  Anomalous,

per 18 USC 3282

"..Except as otherwise expressly provided by law, no person shall be prosecuted, tried, or punished for any offense, not capital, unless the indictment is found or the information is instituted within five years next after such offense shall have been committed."

The sale of Uranium assets to Russia occurred in 2010.

Of course in practice, once an investigation begins, it can uncover other incidents that happened more recently.

#9  The powers that be that they need to rebuild their credibility. So they go after the dead man walking in all of this Hillary. She's toxic and will never be a viable candidate for anything. Even the Democrats hate her for what she did to the party...so she's a perfect sacrificial lamb for the Deep State to use to try to prove they are not "Anti-Trump" after all.

#4  But they are moving deathly slow. Glacial.

Waiting for Hillary's natural demise?

#3  I cast a net, and many will be caught it it.
But they are moving deathly slow. Glacial.

Yet I know timing is the key and if there is any Intestinal Fortitude in this place, will stand as they need to and deliver the truth.

Nothing like this has ever happened to This Republic before and nor do Americans deserve it.

By the way, there is much more to come.
A facelift is not going to cover this but if there is an honest pursuit of Justice here, it may restore confidence.

I have catacombs of issues with some in power. And at the correct time, it will not be hidden.

#2  Maybe we need to investigate the Supreme Court now ....
Posted by: gorb   2018-01-07 01:42

#1  first of all, if the DOJ is really investigating this they will need more than one witness interviewed per month

second, getting enough evidence for an indictment isn't going to be that easy, the 2016 Supreme Court decision reversing the conviction of former VA Governor McDowell makes it really difficult to get convictions of this kind
