| Fatah official says Arab countries shot down emergency summit on Jerusalem | |

"We requested an Arab summit over Jerusalem. Some Arab countries refused," says Muhammad Shtayeh, a senior Paleostinian official and Fatah central committee member, in an interview with the PA’s official TV station. Shtayeh adds that just five heads of state attended the Organization of Islamic Countries meeting held in Istanbul last week to discuss the Jerusalem issue. He doesn’t specify which Arab countries refused to hold a summit. | |
