| #2 The "Today" show and Lauer were most popular; cornerstone of the program for two decades. Someone else must not like Lauer and NBC. The network MSM viewership has been diminishing for years, probably because of a lack of trust and being left-wing agenda-driven. In a nutshell, they have been dishing up fake news and people are on to them. Moreover, talking heads like Lauer, Rose and others are very high-priced. Lauer was reported to make $25 mil annually. Maybe his behavior was inappropriate. Maybe this was also an opportunity to dump an over-priced prima donna. Perhaps a chance for NBC to get rid of a behavioral problem and improve the bottom line at the same time. Maybe a part of the swamp or sewer draining. |
