#1 doing recon in NW Syria is pretty close to doing nothing real question is whether Turkey will send actual infantry in - part of Idlib is close to Latakia- the Assad home base and it gets really sensitive, part of Idlib is near Hama which has been, off and on a Hezbollah base of operations there is a significant dispute on how successful Op Euphrates Shield was - we don't have a good handle on Turkey's casualties and we don't know how 'loyal' to turkey its 'allies' still are- in any event, Turkey had only limited success pushing the Kurds around |
