Spy Planes Over US Cities, Airborne Cell Towers and Project Nebula |
2017-08-06 |
![]() In June of last year, that same plane spent three weeks circling daily over Wilmington, North Carolina, carrying a state-of-the-art "persistent surveillance" camera that can monitor a large area continuously for hours at a time. The Phoenix and Wilmington flights are among dozens tracked by BuzzFeed News that were flown by companies run by an obscure, Oklahoma-based private equity fund called Acorn Growth Companies. Acorn’s planes serve as the US military’s "A-Team" for aerial surveillance in Africa, including tracking suspected terrorists’ phones from the air. In the US, the planes sometimes take part in military exercises -- as they were in Phoenix -- helping troops practice raids on targets using the same phone-tracking technology. |

#15 "Persistent surveillance" Pay phones then pagers then cellphones, PDAs, FB et. al., stenography, mmorg and telephone monitoring. Regions of the world without access to technology use couriers. Same with inner city crime. Seems like they're likely to be fusing all source intelligence link analysis. That's an expensive proposition for domestic street crime. Something of a real world webpage click counter. |

#14 Sorry, 'Battelle Memorial Institute.' |

#13 I don't think you are talking about Body Mass Index here. Can yo explain for those of us not in the know (mostly me) what BMI mean in this case please? |

#12 Mullah Richard, Pete Hennessey was at Battelle for a while during the period when Battelle had a substantial military intel business, primarily on the sensing side but also some analytics. Posted by Angusock Chuting BMI was it? I thought Hennessey sounded familiar. The Arlington BMI cell wasn't too bad. PNNL (Richland, WA aka the Atomic City) and 'Mothership Columbus, Ohio... yet another story. |

#11 You may track such activities, as I do often by using ADS-B Exchange and selecting "Interesting" from the filter. |

#10 Perhaps they are exploring mapping for pre-crime nodes Pappy? Possibly. I'm still waiting for our resident military experts to tell me what Mosul, Raqaa and Marawi have in common, or portend. Same for Ferguson and L.A. in 1992, though from other types of experts. Alas, no comments. |

#6 There is a recent report (2017) that Acorn Growth Industries has acquired TSS. TSS used Teneo Capital for financial advice. One of the founding partners of Teneo Capital is Doug Band. According to wiki: Douglas Jay Band (born 28 October 1972)Â is an American businessman and lawyer. He is a founding partner and president of Teneo, a global consulting firm. Previously he was personal assistant and counselor to President Bill Clinton and he assisted in creating the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI). Band later worked for the William J. Clinton Foundation. |

#5 The human biological element is the unwanted variance. IIRC Stansfield Turner thought the same thing as he reduced field agents and shifted collection to sensors. We still haven't recovered. |

#4 Check out Acorn's subsidiary CommuterAirTechnology, especially their 'Operations' tab. Their Leadership Team would seem to be knowledgeable, too. |

#3 Mosul? Raqaa? Marawi? Ferguson? Los Angeles back in 1992? Anything come to mind? Any pattern? Bueller? Bueller? |

#2 Security projected investments. Future gold mine for investors. They see the needs of the powers that want control. The problem is they will never be satisfied. The human approach is being lost. The technological growth and development are where the money is. The human biological element is the unwanted variance. |

#1 .....obscure, Oklahoma-based private equity fund called Acorn Growth Companies Acorn Website I read the bio's of each of the 12 senior "team" members. Strangley (or not so), not one had a military or aviation background. At the Careers section "All Acorn's positions are ......currently filled, check back with us soon." |
