[SHABELLENEWS] A Somali official says Jubbaland forces have killed four Al shabaab members in the border town of Beled-Hawo on Monday, July 24.The holy warriors, including an elderly man were executed by Jubbaland soldiers in the outside Beled-Hawo after they were taken out from a prison in the town, to the official said.
The executed Al shabaab members were held for killing a local elder in the past.
Jubbaland state is yet to comment on the mass murder, however, it comes as the region’s leader Ahmed Madobe is expected to pay a visit to Gedo province, southwest of Somalia.
Al shabaab has been battling Somali and Kenyan forces in the region for almost 6 years in the region, since KDF crossed into the country in mid 2011, to fight the holy warriors.
