| Somali Government warns traders against funding Al Shabaab |

| [SHABELLENEWS] The Federal government of Somalia has issued a new measures to prevent Al shabaab from collecting tax funds, to finance its insurgency against the AU and National Army forces. The announcement was made at a presser in Mogadishu Saturday by Somalia’s Minster of security Mohammed Abukar Dualle, along with Police and Intelligence chiefs. The chief of the Intelligence & security agency (NISA) Abdullahi Mohammed Ali Sanbalolshe said the government banned businesses from providing financial support for Al shabaab. "We will hold accountable and confiscate every business center, large or small that provide tax to Al shabaab. The government will not tolerate funding the group," said Dualle. This is the first warning by the Somali Federal government since it took power in last January, and it is not clear how and when it will come into effect. |
