| Taliban Attack Baghlan-e-Markazi District |

| Taliban insurgents attacked Baghlan-e-Markazi district of northern Baghlan province early Tuesday morning and clashes were still ongoing by early afternoon, sources told TOLOnews. The attack started about 3:00am local time after the insurgents attacked police check posts, sources said. “The Taliban have reached close to police headquarters of Baghlan-e-Markazi and the clashes are currently ongoing in Chawk-e-Baghlan-e- Markazi,” sources added. In the meantime, sources at Baghlan-e-Markazi hospital confirmed that the bodies of four policemen bodies were taken to the hospital. In addition 19 people were wounded including nine civilians, sources said. The Taliban have not yet commented on the attack. |
