Paleostinian turban says the dead man was a member of their armed wing.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said hundreds of Paleostinians had gathered along the fence and were throwing stones and burning tires.
Soldiers on the Israeli side of the border opened fire after their calls to the Paleostinians and warning shots were ignored, she said.

"Aeid Jumaa, 35, was killed and six other Paleostinians were maimed during festivities along the Gazoo border (with Israel) north of Jabalia," the Hamas-run Interior Ministry’s front man Ashraf al-Qudra said.
The terror group issued a statement saying that Jumaa was one of its members.
