Hershel Smith goes over a bit of doggerel in which the writer tries to link guns and gun control to illegal immigration. I suggest you forgo the unreadable stuff and focus in on what Smith has to say.

Loads.

Rantburg's summary for arms and ammunition:

Pistol ammunition prices were mostly steady. Rifle ammunition prices were mostly steady.

Prices for used pistols were mixed. Prices for used rifles were mostly higher.

The nationwide average price for a used AR-10 pattern semiautomatic has dropped to a historic low at $766. The drop, as sharp as it appears to be, is still almost $100 more than the average of historical nationwide lows of $660.

The AR-10 pattern doesn't get much respect. Two competing platforms are available, the DPMS Generations I and II, and the Armalite AR-10. The DPMS pattern rifles are very cheap while the AR-10 is much more expensive. As I recall, the rifle hit a historic low in the summer of 2015, all from the DPMS patterns, from which prices did recover.

Although AR-15 pattern semiautomatic rifles rose slightly for the week, prices for those rifles still appear to be in decline. The decline continues the trend begun in March, 2017.
