Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Two security officers were killed Tuesday when a bomb blast targeted their patrol in northeastern Diyala, a security official said in statements.Alsumaria News quoted Sadeq al-Husseini, chairman of the security committee in Diyala council saying that two officers from the Dijlah Operations force, including an air force adviser, were killed, while a third was wounded when an explosive device planted on the side of a road near Hamreen Mountains.
The attack comes after two security memebrs were killed and 14 others were wounded in an attack by the Islamic State that targeted the biggest military base in Diyala’s Qaraqosh.
