Haqqani network and ISIS militants among 53 killed in airstrikes

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the Arclight airstrikes were carried out in the past 24 hours in various provinces of the country.

At least 7 Lions of Islam were killed in another Arclight airstrike conducted in Khwajah Bahauddin district of Takhar province and 11 others were maimed, MoD said, adding that 10 Lions of Islam were killed and 4 others were maimed in a similar operation in Pashtun Kot district of Faryab.

According to MoD, at least 8 Lions of Islam were killed and 3 hideouts were destroyed in an Arclight airstrike in Gul Tapa area located in the vicinity of the quiet provincial capital of Kunduz province.

The Ministry of Defense also added that 5 Haqqani network Lions of Islam were killed in a separate Arclight airstrike conducted in central Maidan Wardak province.
