UK's GCHQ spooks were first to spot Trump team's links with Russia

'Played Crucial role?' I could have sworn less than a month ago, the Guardian printed a categorical denial of such monitoring activities. Yes, here it is, "Utterly Ridiculous" you say. Bloodly hell! I'll put 5 quid on 'Crucial Role' in the fourth at Fakenham.
Yes, 'routine', nothing special here. We always collect and disseminate the mundane and routine. Move along please. Over the next six months, until summer 2016, a number of western agencies shared further information on contacts between Trump’s inner circle and Russians, sources said. A 'high five' to our perfidious cousins. Please keep up the effort and by the way, we may have some Requests For Information (RFI) coming your way.

#6 I still want to know why we're all pretending that what Hillary did to GIVE AWAY national security secrets isn't worth a trial and then followed by a sentence commensurate with the crimes committed? |

#4 Guardian, BBC, MOD, GCHQ and MI6, thanks for coming. Obviously introductions are unnecessary, so let's get right to work shall we ? |

#3 GCHQ first became aware in late 2015 of suspicious "interactions" between figures connected to Trump and known or suspected Russian agents, a source close to UK intelligence said. This intelligence was passed to the US as part of a routine exchange of information, they added. Could you please flesh this out for the American people? You know answers to usual simple questions such as "Who? What? Where? When? Why? Impacts?" If this is not done, it is just innuendo, hearsay, and political smear. We still haven't heard anything about any investigations into Hillary's relationships with Russia such as the selling to them of 20% of our uranium. |

#2 Note the very passive voice. Who, pray tell, said or wrote the words about this thing that the Guardian is now reporting? Someone who knows they may soon be discovered and needs to install a bit of historical fact spiced with braggadocious smuggery as cover. 'First' I tell you, first, FIRST ! |

#1 Please ignore the smoke. There is no fire, you'll see. Appears Judge Nap wasn't far off the mark after all. |
