Curtis Dean Lang was charged with the theft of $45,040 while serving as president of the United Dairy Workers of Le Mars, which represents workers at Wells Enterprises, the largest family-owned ice cream manufacturer in the United States. The alleged embezzlement took place between 2012 and June 9, 2015, according to court documents from the United States District court for the Northern District of Iowa, Western Division. The indictment said that Lang "did embezzle, steal and unlawfully abstract and convert to his own use, the moneys, funds and assets" of the United Dairy Workers of Le Mars, according to the Sioux City Journal. |
