The source said, "Security forces foiled an attack launched by the Islamic State group on al-Fatha intersection, east of Baiji." "Four members of the Islamic State were killed, and an unidentified number of turbans were maimed during the attack, while security forces seized large quantities of weapons in the enemy’s area," the source added on condition of anonymity. The source also informed that seven members of al-Hashd al-Shaabi forces, that repulsed the attack, were maimed. Earlier today, Iraqi security forces repulsed an armed attack launched by the Islamic State terrorist group on the western side of Sharqat that was liberated earlier by security forces, and killed 15 members of the group, who tried to sneak into the city. |
