[Iraq News] Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said on Tuesday it was unfortunate that some of ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire.... ’s allies had chosen the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia as a partner in the fight against Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... in Syria. Yildirim’s comments, at a news conference, were made as the military chiefs of Turkey, the United States and Russia met in the southern Turkish province of Antalya to discuss regional security, notably in Syria and Iraq. Turkey views the YPG as an extension of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which is waging an insurgency in Turkey. |
