McCain Announces Opposition To Trump's Pick For Budget Chief
2017-02-16
[TheHill] McCain stressed his opposition wasn't personal but focused on Mulvaney's previous policy positions, accusing the conservative lawmaker of working to "torpedo" Senate efforts to increase defense spending.

"My decision to oppose this nomination is not about one person. It is not about one Cabinet position," said McCain, the chairman of the Armed Services Committee. "This is not political. This is about principle."
I figured everyone could use the laugh.

Any chance the Viets would take him back?

#8  Won his last term in 2016 so Senator McCain is safe for some time. Me thinks the Republicans should be grooming someone for his position.

#7  Why don't John and Lindsey just come on out of the closet and admit they're Democrats?

@#2

I have news for you, that is exactly where things are going. I saw that comment earlier, I was wondering if it would get blacked out.

#4  Not surprising for McStain. He has to throw a "opposition" vote somewhere to stay relevant.

#1  Yesterday, four republicans declined to vote for Trump's labor secretary. So, the republican wing of the beltway party aligns rank with the democratic wing in opposition to elected president - a preview of the next 4 years?
