one of Paul Newmans wives in an interview said that she knew what a woman about to have an abortion felt because she had played one once.

Remember the Democrats calling on actresses to testify based on the roles they played? That was the habit that made my dislike of the left turn to utter contempt.

#19  “It’s about time people understood that we’re the ones with the power and that the president is there to serve us, not the other way around“, a spokesperson for the group told The New York Times.

Link, or I'm calling BS.

#17  You're going the way of telephone operators, once essential to America. Automation (and egotistical stupidity on your part) will triumph.

#15  Somebody is confused, if the ad ran last Wednesday:

Our anger must now become massive resistance – before Donald Trump is inaugurated and has the full reins of power in his hands.

#14  What if some egotists went on strike and no one noticed?

I think the world would enjoy the silence.

#10  If each and every one of them died tomorrow (i.e.: "irrevocable boycott") my life wouldn't change except for the betterment of not hearing/reading their bleatings. DIAF NAOW

#9  ...One last comment - they throw the word 'Fascist' around without knowing what it really means. To them it is simply someone who disagrees with them, but in reality if any of these snowflakes met a real, live, honest-to-Mussolini capital-F '30s fascist, they'd wet themselves.

#8  Let them, I pay for maybe two or three movies a year. I watch alot of stuff from Japan which I can get for free or on Netflix or Amazon Prime. New books are far more worthy than a new movie that preaches at me to join their cult.

All that will happen is people will find other hobbies and suddenly Hollywood will be in serious trouble:) Please, boycott America!

#7  ...With God as my witness, I actually felt my IQ dropping as I read this.

And I wonder what the nice people who run the studios will have to say about this?

And by the way - it's not like the world is beating down the doors of Hollywood for more (for example) Rosie O'Donnell movies. Her last few flicks were utter bombs...as were those of Clooney and Schumer. Miley Cyrus is considered so far out in left field that she'll never be on a set again.

#6  Asked to elaborate on why the group is targeting Hollywood out of all the industries in the country as their bargaining chip, the spokesperson argued that Hollywood “is, simply put, the base of the entire modern American culture. It is the foundation of the country, so to speak, the glue that’s holding it together. And think about what happens when you destroy the foundation of a house. It comes crashing down, right? Well, that’s exactly what’s going to happen to America unless Donald Trump realizes how real the danger of that actually is, and chooses to step down as President of his own free will. And while we’re on the subject, between you and me – nobody wants Hollywood to stop doing its thing, but this is a necessary move.”
They have been staring in the mirror in admiration of themselves so long they are delusional. Some of them believe they actually are the characters they play.
Popularity does not always equal relevance.

#4  So, in effect, it’s not us that are going to force Donald Trump to resign his office; it’s the people of America who are going to make him do it, because the God’s honest truth is – without Hollywood, there is no America.

This is a quote from that article by the spox of the group.

This is purely the most delusional hubris ever, mic drop and go home.

without Hollywood, there is no America.

#3  Actually, life will be much better. It is like following some self absorbed person on the freeway with a car burning oil and leaving a blue haze behind. Then they pull off the road and everyone has a great day.
