2017-01-25 |
A man was gunned down on Tuesday night in suspected sectarian attack in Gulistan-i-Jauhar area of Karachi, police said. Mohammed Kazim Raza, 39, was riding a motorcycle when unknown pillion riders targeted him from behind near Mir Munawar Chowrangi, said a police official, adding that he sustained critical bullet injuries and died on the spot. “It appeared to be a targeted killing incident linked with sectarianism,” opined Superintendent Police Dr. Fahad Ahmed. Meanwhile, Majlis-i-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) condemned the incident and demanded of the law enforcement agencies to take notice of the rising "sectarian killings" in the city. |
