#30 Ariel Zurawski is the boss of the Polish company whose driver was murdered. He gave interview not reported by U.K. Media |

#28 The arrogance of German television is quite amazing. A moderator told his audience that it's midnight now and there won't be any more news about the attack until tomorrow morning. |

#27 the rumour is the original driver was Polish, and the pakistani terrorist hijacked the van and killed him. |

#26 The German daily Welt reports that the driver is a "refugee" from Pakistan although this has not been confirmed. |

#24 jpal, could be but not confirmed. We can definitely rule out an accident. |

#23 Leftist MSM here is called it a truck accident at the moment until they can figure out how to protect the letter "I" first. |

#22 So the dead 'co-driver' was the real driver who got hijacked and murdered? |

#21 It looks like the truck was on its way from Italy to Poland and was hijacked. |

#15 They'd be very busy if they investigated everyone who criticizes Merkel. But I do notice that authorities are stepping up their more or less unveiled threats against Facebook and Twitter. The former German president of the EU parliament (who wants to become chancellor) has called for making presumed "fake news" illegal (whatever this means). Not encouraging. |

#14 I had to look up Generalbundesanwalt. For anyone else who doesn't know, I got this: "The Federal Prosecutor of the Federal Supreme Court is the supreme law enforcement agency of the Federal Republic of Germany in the field of state protection. It shall exercise the office of the public prosecutor in all serious state protection matters which are particularly sensitive to internal or external security. Domestic security is affected by politically motivated crimes, especially terrorist acts of violence, external security through treason and espionage. The Federal Prosecutor's Office at the Federal Court of Justice is also responsible for the prosecution of offenses under the Criminal Code." Correcting my ignorance one day at a time. |

#12 European Conservative. Recent reports indicated that people who criticised Merkel on social media were being investigated by the state. Is that true? Is that why people are afraid to step up? |

#9 Polish TV reports that the Polish owner has reported that his truck was stolen. Also the Generalbundesanwalt has taken over the case. This points to a terror attack. |

#6 Good. Now to identify him, and whether it was an accident or intentional. If he is a jihadi, I hope the police and politicians will not be so stupid as to try to hide the truth. |

#1 German media report that the truck had Polish number plates (that doesn't mean the driver is Polish). The driver fled. A person has been apprehended but it's not yet known whether he is the driver. Up to now at least 9 people dead, more than 50 people wounded. |
