#3  This was always a ridiculous effort. Electors are life-long party loyalists. Imagine the most hardcore Republican faithful true-believer you can, then multiply by 1,000. That's an elector. These people would rather sell their own children to Mongolia to make dog food than elect Hillary Clinton.

The Electors are not stupid people. There is nothing they can be threatened with that amounts to zip from the Left. ANY Elector who denies his vote won't live out the year. The stupid don't live to be old.
