#7   Washington had no real party.

IMHO Washington only has one party and it suffered and lost due to a surfeit of hubris.

#6  Ed exactly, I was either voting Libertarian or not voting, then I thought of Frank G. crawling across glass to vote against her, then I knew what I had to do.

#4  An analysis by the National Committee for an Effective Congress looked at the vote in 14 swing states vs. the rest of the country. Trump won the popular vote in those 14 states and got 142 of his electoral votes from them. In the other 36 states, he lost the popular vote by an even larger margin. He found the votes where he needed them. She did not.

So the overage in Caliphornia outweighed the margin in the other 35 states? Figures don't lie, but sometimes clever people abuse them.

#3  Loaded with the imagery of 'but it should have worked'. The fact is, what defeated Hillary Clinton was Hillary Clinton, that moment of "I can't possibly vote for her" that occurred in voting booths nationwide. The rest is bonus.
