Russians Funding Anti-Fracking Groups in America |
2016-10-17 |
Hillary Clinton talked about Russian-backed environmental groups during a private speech on June 18th, 2014. This is what she said: "We were up against Russia pushing oligarchs and others to buy media. We were even up against phony environmental groups, and I’m a big environmentalist, but these were funded by the Russians to stand against any effort, oh that pipeline, that fracking, that whatever will be a problem for you, and a lot of the money supporting that message was coming from Russia." As reported by the Washington Free Beacon, a "shadowy Bermudan company" has donated "tens of millions of dollars to anti-fracking environmentalist groups in the United States." A January report by the EPA specifically implicates Klein ltd ‐ a company that is believed to be "run by executives with deep ties to Russian oil interests and offshore money laundering schemes involving members of President Vladimir Putin’s inner circle." Fracking is a violent drilling procedure that allows companies to access hard-to-reach resources of gas and oil. It is controversial because it requires vast amounts of water and can contaminate groundwater at the drilling site. |

#5 Fracking is NOT a drilling procedure; it is a completion procedure. 'Vast' is an imprecise term - compared to an ocean it is a negligible amount of water. Technically it CAN contaminate ground water if everything is done wrong, but only a few actual cases seem to exist. (Lots of groundwater -and surface water - contamination occurs due to poor auto maintenance.) |

#4 You'd think it would be far cheaper to buy state elected officials rather than feds. At least in New Mexico it is and there is no new drilling or fracking. The state government is having to deal with a significant deficit created by the drop in income largely attributed to legacy wells not delivering as much revenue as projected. Never occurs to them to make it up in volume. The Greens (Reds) reign. |

#2 And in public instead of private, Hillary (and all the other democrats) always shows more respect for the Russian-backed groups than the oil industry. |
