#5 White House senior adviser Brian Deese said the president has the legal authority to ratify the accord without the two-thirds Senate vote required for treaties. He said the pact negotiated by 195 countries in December is merely an “executive agreement.” So when that executive retires, the agreement does, too. The 'executive' agreed, the Nation did not. |

#3 A legacy of nearly 8 years of dodging Congress, the Senate, and the Constitution. That should make him a lawbreaker. He is like the invited guest to a liberal Washington party who makes an ass of himself with everyone but no one knows what to do with him. No one wants to ask him to leave because he is African-American and they don't want to run the risk of being criticized and called racist. |
