| Clan battle kills 15, injures 36 in Galgadud |

| At least 15 people have been killed, and 36 others wounded in a renewed clan fighting in Galgadud region, located in central Somalia on Monday, military officials said. A Somali military commander in the region said the battle broke out after two clan militiamen have engaged in a deadly gunfire at El Dabole area near Elbur town. The warring clan militiamen have been in deadlock over water resources and ownership of boreholes in the area in the past, according to the military source. Several attempts to defuse the tension have failed, and elders are still on mission to bring an end to the frequent battle that claiming lives of dozens of people in Galgadud. |
