ISIS Top Dawg Tango Uniform in airstrike in al-Sharqat

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – Leader of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi militia, Jabbar Mamouri, announced on Tuesday about the death a senior ISIS leader named Sarmad Mazahim, in an aerial strike on the outskirts of al-Sharqat.

Mamouri, in a statement issued to the media (which was also received by Iraqi News), stated, “Yesterday evening, warplanes launched an air strike at one of the ISIS shelters on the outskirts of al-Sharqat district and this resulted in the death of Sarmad Mazahim al-Hunayni- media officer of the ISIS.”

Adding further Mamouri said, “Hunayni is one of the close associates of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s and also one of the prominent leaders in the group.”

New Iraqi offensive to resume in northern Salahuddin

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – The administration of Salahuddin province announced on Tuesday that the joint security forces resumed its operations of liberating areas in north of the province after it was being suspended due to bad weather conditions.

Governor of Salahuddin, Ahmed Abdullah al-Jabouri, in a press statement said, “The joint [security] forces, at dawn today, resumed the liberation operations of the areas towards north of the province.”

Jabouri added, “The [liberation] operations were launched with the participation of different Iraqi forces after besieging ISIS terrorist gangs at Makhoul, al-Sharqat and al-Qayyarah,” further adding, “The operations were launched days ago but it was stopped owing to bad weather conditions in the area.”
