four Paleostinians, residents of the West Bank city of Hebron, on suspicion of illegally entering Israel.

An investigation was opened into the incident and to locate the perpetrators of the attack.

Police also blocked off a main thoroughfare in the adjacent Arab neighborhood of Jabel Mukaber and set up a checkpoint "in order to allow residents to go back to conducting their ordinary daily routine while protected from life-threatening lawbreakers," a spokesperson said in a statement.

Armon Hanatziv has been the scene of several terrorist attacks since violence erupted last September, including a deadly stabbing on a public bus that left three dead. Last month, two elderly women were stabbed and moderately injured in the East Jerusalem neighborhood.

Second Friday prayers of Ramadan end in Jerusalem without incident

[IsraelTimes] Israel permits 300 Paleostinians from Gazoo and 53,000 from West Bank to worship at Al-Aqsa Mosque on month-long fast.

The permits issued for Friday were the regular weekly quota for worshipers at Al-Aqsa, and not the originally planned increased numbers for Ramadan, said a spokeswoman for COGAT, the Defense Ministry unit which manages civilian affairs for Paleostinians in the West Bank and liaises with Gazoo.
