Protestors March in Kabul to Push Govt for Release of Kunduz Hostages

Protestors warned to continue mass protests and unless government takes action and ensures the release of the passengers who were kidnapped on Baghlan highway recently.

"People have gathered to raise their voice against the recent fear and chaos created by the Taliban on the main highways, Taliban kidnap civilians and innocents," protestor Fawzia Kofi said.

"Government leaders must hear the voice of the people of Afghanistan," MP Ahmad Behzad said.

"We do not want to disrupt the system and the government. We have one demand and that is to secure our security," a protestor said.

"The protest became violent. The protestors were maimed and the police adopted harsh action against them," another protestor Mastoora Arzo said.

Two protestors were maimed during the demonstration.
