But part of that involves hiding from us the stuff we don't need to know. Hardly a new idea. Most mammals don't see colours or see them poorly. Primates co-evolved colour vision with trees that produced fruits that changed colour when ripe. Doesn't mean the world is an illusion. It's just that we perceive it selectively. |
