Worries about racism in US reach new high: Poll |
2016-04-13 |
![]() The percentage of respondents who are worried a great deal rose seven points to 35 percent in the past year and has more than doubled in the past two years, according to a Gallup poll released Monday. Concern about race relations has risen during an 18-month period marked by a series of deaths of unarmed African Americans at the hands of coppers. These deaths sparked major, sometimes violent, protests and fueled the nationwide rise of the "Black Lives Matter" movement, which campaigns against violence toward black people. |

#2 Angry with self this PM [shakes apple fritter]. Having been horribly distracted through the whole BLM business, I'd taken it for granted that all the good stuff was used up long ago... but non-google suggests that these may not yet be things: #BlackYadaYada #BlackYaddaYadda Unhangar the Super Cub! I shall putter around the Burg in a cloud of delirium. On second thought, lemme try something different for a change. |
