Four held over forced prostitution in Ctg |

I'm comin' out! four members of a gang which is engaged in forcing women into prostitution from Panchlaish area, Chittagong city Wednesday night. During the drive, police also rescued three teenage girls who were forced into prostitution from a flat located in Hill View residential area. A case was filed against Nazir Uddin, 48, Kulsuma Begum, 40, Ali Haidar, 30, and Samsu, 35, in this connection. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (prosecution) Kazi Muttaki Ibn Minan said the three victims who were rescued from the clutches of the gang will give their statement before the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Nowrin Aktar Kakon under section 164." Police said one of a victims managed to get out from the custody of the culprits and informed police about the flesh trade. Later, police conducted a drive at the flat and rescued them and rounded up four persons. "The male members of the gang first developed relationship with the girls of rural areas across the country and kidnapped them technically luring to marry or promising a good job in the city. When the victim fall off on their trap, the gang brought them to the city and sold to the flash traders and forced them into illicit business. |
