(IraqiNews.com) Wasit – An official source in Wasit Province announced on Tuesday, that a helicopter belonging to the Iraqi Army Aviation fell in Wasit due to a technical problem.The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “A M17 military helicopter belonging to the Iraqi Army Aviation fell, this morning, in the village of Umm Halil (8 km northeast of Kut) in Wasit,” pointing out that, “The helicopter captain and his assistant were killed while 7 others were wounded.”
The source, who asked anonymity, added, “The helicopter crashed due to a technical glitch.”
