| Iraqi forces liberate al-Sofiya in Anbar |

| (IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Thursday, Security Committee’s member in Anbar Provincial Council Ragee Barakat announced the liberation of the majority of al-Sofiya area, while indicated to the advance of the security forces toward al-Sijariya and Albu Ghanem areas. Barakat said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The security forces from the Anti-Terrorism Bureau and Anbar police managed to liberate the majority of al-Sofiya area east of Ramadi,” pointing out that, “The security forces advanced toward al-Sijariya and Albu Ghanem areas.” He added, “The advance of the security forces in east of Ramadi has been hindered by the explosive devices, in addition to the detained families by the ISIS organization.” |
