| Two Maoist militants, soldier killed in Mindanao clash |

| Two New People's Army militants and a soldier were killed and another soldier was injured following a gun battle in Hinobaan town in Negros Occidental on Friday morning. Major Ray Tiongson said troops were on patrol at Sitio Bugtong Lubi in Barangay Damutan . when they encountered 12 or so militants. He said the two sides traded fire for 15 minutes after which the militants fled and left behind the bodies of their two slain comrades. |
