#9  China is nobody's friend, unless they need something from a loan shark.

Same goes for India.

#7  China is playing go with the borders and neighboring countries. China is nobody's friend, unless they need something from a loan shark.

#6  Not that I want them to ally, I prefer to bring India solidly into the Anglosphere, I'm just saying what I think China would be wise to do. Pakistan is a loser. War with India is a loser.

#5  The territory China has claimed from India is so high up in the mountains as to be worthless. The territory between the two is so unruly that I'm not sure armored operations would be practical. China could simply give the territories back and champion a Security Council seat for India and they'd probably have a friend and ally no questions asked.

#4  And the Paks will find the Chinese even more corrupt and untrustworthy than the Americans.

#3  China has been poaching Indian territory by moving border markers, among other activities, for decades. India considers China a considerably greater threat than Pakistan. By developing ties with Pakistan, China threatens India with the possibility of a two-front war, of which Pakistan cannot be unaware. And certainly Pakistan has been enthusiastic about China-provided infrastructure projects (roads and harbours) billed as supporting increased trade between the two countries.

#2  The Chinese will find the Pak's as corrupt and untrustworthy as the Americans have.

#1  What does Pakistan bring to the equation except boatloads of crazy? If China really wanted to remake Asia they'd ally with India.
