| 5 die in bombing attack near eastern Baghdad |

| (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Monday, that five people had been either killed or wounded in the explosion of an explosive device east of Baghdad. The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A bomb exploded, before noon today, near the shops in al-Obeidi District east of Baghdad, resulting in the death of one person and wounding four others .” The source, who asked anonymity, added: “the security forces rushed to the scene and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the body of the dead man to the forensic medicine department, while a raid and search operation was carried out to find the perpetrators of the bombing.” |
