When the U.S. pulled out of Speicher, I figured all the regime's bravado and threats against Iranian WMD production were little more than meaningless bullshit. Why would anyone relinquish such a strategic facility.

| (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – US newspaper revealed on Wednesday, that Washington is considering the deployment of a squadron of “Apache” helicopters in Iraq to support the Iraqi security forces against ISIS. The Wall Street Journal quoted US officials as saying, “The White House is considering the deployment of a squadron of Apache helicopters in Iraq in the framework of a package of new aid to confront ISIS.” According to the newspaper, the officials added that “this step requires the deployment of hundreds of additional US troops in Iraq,” indicating also that “US military officials recommended the deployment of a number of US troops in Syria for the first time.” |
