A representative from the group, Okan Bayrak, said the company has not received any notification yet, declining to give further comments, as reported by Rooters. Turkish police raided companies in Ankara belonging to Koza Ipek in September. Anadolu Agency reported on Sept. 1 that the raid targeted 23 of the corporation's companies over what it noted as "giving financial support to the Fetullahist Terror Organization [FETÖ] and conducting its propaganda." The detained persons were released on probation by an Ankara court on Sept. 2. Ankara's Eighth Criminal Court of Peace then issued an arrest warrant in absentia for Akin Ipek, the chairman of Koza Ipek, who is reportedly in the United Kingdom. Speaking to news hounds, Ipek's mother, Melek Ipek, denied allegations that her son had fled to escape trial. | |
