| Balkan countries threaten to close borders if Germany does |

| Bulgaria, Serbia and Romania said on Saturday they would close their borders if Germany or other countries do the same to stop refugees coming in, warning they would not allow the Balkan region to become a buffer zone for stranded migrants. |

| #5 If we effectively closed our southern border, you think Mexico would allow all those Central Americans in? As long as there's money to be made and the illegals keep moving north, they'll look the other way on their own Article 33 of their constitution. |

| #2 I believe they are member states threatening to not do what the EU's federal government tells them. Which seems like a pretty good start to me. We should have more of that here in the US. |
